First Edition reissue (2000)
Good Condition.
Seems unread.
Ernest Paul Lehman (December 8, 1915 – July 2, 2005) was an American screenwriter and film producer.
He was nominated six times for Academy Awards for his screenplays during his career, but did not win.
At the 73rd Academy Awards in 2001, he received an Honorary Academy Award in recognition of his achievements and his influential works for the screen. He was the first screenwriter to receive that honour.
Here for the first time is anthology of Lehman's short stories, led by the novella that formed the basis of the noir 1957 film, starring Burt Lancaster & Tony Curtis and directed by Alexander Mackendrick and featuring the parasitic relationship between a sleazy newspaper journalist and lick-spittle talent agent.
"I'd hate to take a bite out of you.....you're a cookie full of arsenic...."
